Track your own wine cellar!
ourWine is the wine app for the rest of us.
Simple to use, personal, not driven by the opinions of others. We know what we like and what we don't like, and we prefer to make our own judgments. We want to make our own ratings of what we have had and should get again. And we want to keep track of what is in our own cellar, pantry, closet or refrigerator.
ourWine lets you record every bottle you've gotten, tried, liked, disliked, or still have.
Use ourWine to help you remember which wines to get (and which ones to avoid) the next time you are shopping.
Sync ourWine data via your personal iCloud account to all your own devices (iPhones, iPads and macOS laptops and desktops.
Send ourWine details to friends and family via Apple Messages, Apple Mail and AirDrop.
ourWine comes with an example data set of over 100 wines to let you play with the App to get familiar with searching, filtering, sorting, and different Cellars. At any time, you can erase the example data and replace it with your own.
To add a new bottle of wine to the database:
1) Use your iPhone or iPad camera to take pictures of the front and back labels and scan the barcode (if there is one).
2) Enter the wine details, the Variety, the Vintage, the Winery, the Country of Origin for the wine, the Price paid, the Date acquired.
3) Later, enter the Date consumed and your opinion (Tasting Notes, Thumbs rating, Stars Rating, and UC Davis Numeric Score).
ourWine remembers each bottle separately - if you had a wine more than once, you might want to review and rate it differently each time.
When you enter a new bottle, if the barcode matches one you have had before, ourWine fills in the previous information.
What if you are at the store looking for a wine to buy but can't remember if you've already had it? Use ourWine's Add Wine function and scan the barcode. If you have the bottle already in your database, the previous details and your opinion will be displayed.
By design, ourWine is a personal App and deliberately does not connect to online databases or communities of wine. You can choose to sync your data via your personal iCloud account to your own devices and computers, or send copies of specific bottles to friends and family.
